2009 Big Turbo Cobalt SS Build

LilTurb0 aka Marko Nikolic currently resides in Edmonton Alberta. He also has another page where he strictly does automotive photography its called mkzer0. Be sure to check it out, it has pretty amazing shots posted. When it comes to when he first revealed his Cobalt build it was in March 2018, and so much has changed since then. Personally, when I stumbled across his page and saw his build, I fell in love with it. Since I've got a Cobalt aswell, it's sort of like looking at something you can have if you put the time and effort into it.
The first dyno run that was shown to us recorded that the SS was running 304 hp and 365 tq on a stock turbo. It was running at 25 psi and on 94 octane fuel. Which for a cobalt are very respectable numbers. The tires that he runs on his Cobalt are Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R's. Which are decent tires that offer amazing grip while out on the road. After running with those stock SS wheels, Marko switched them out for Fast Fco4 matte bronze 18x9 wheels. They were a big upgrade from the stock SS wheels, and Personally fell in love with those wheels. And if you look behind those wheels you can see that he has on stock Brembo calipers. He rebuilt them and power coated them illusion purple, they look amazing with the wheels on the car. Also, Marko switched out the stock intercooler that came with the SS for a large ZZP intercooler. The ZZP intercooler helps more with cooling down the engine rather than a stock one. Since its a supercharged Cobalt, so he needs a better intercooler to be able to cool it down quicker than a stock intercooler. Plus the ZZP intercooler just makes the front end look better, rather than having the stock intercooler.
The Cobalt also has Stance Suspension USA GR + coilovers. Which is why when you look at it you notice that it's a bit lower than the stock suspension. Also, something that was changed when it comes to the back was the trunk. He switched it out for a Pontiac G5 trunk. Reason why he got a G5 trunk was because the inner tail lights was something that he wasn't to fond of. Hence why they basically got deleted, and now there are only two lights instead of the original four that are on the SS models. Alongside the trunk, he got shark fin vortex generators for the rooftop. It's a small mod, but it makes the car look more aggressive when you look at it from the back and the sides. The front bumper was also something that was switched out for one that was in better condition. Since the old one had lots of scratches on it, and he wanted to make the front end look better than looking all beat up.
The headlights were also something that were changed on the car. The stock headlights that come with the car were fine, but dull looking. So, Marko went out and got Halo headlights. With those Halo headlights he wanted to do something rather different with them from what you would regularly see. He got morimoto XBT bluetooth controlled rgb halos and demon eyes. But also got morimoto H1 LED headlights in a mini H1 bixenon projector. With all of those things that he got, his headlights got retrofitted. Personally when I first saw how they looked like, it blew me away. They look phenomenal on the car, and just adds that "wow" factor when you look at them. The thing that makes it even more impressive is that Marko took apart the Halo's and built the headlights by himself. Everything painted, and installed was all done by his own two hands, which I give him respect for since it's quite difficult to do.
When it comes to what engine the car has it's a 2.0L ecotec LNF. The transmission is a 4.05 LSD from a supercharged cobalt. It allows for shorter gearing and can handle more torque from the motor before grenading (which happened to his old motor during a 3rd gear pull). The turbo that he runs is a precision 5862 ball bearing, and the wastegate is a precision 38mm open dump that goes straight to the ground. He also has a Hahn racecraft cold air intake, an OTTP upper charge pipe, and ZZP lower charge pipe + MAF relocation. When it comes to what exhaust system he has its a ZZP stainless catless downpipe and turboxs FL catback exhaust.
